Our activities are based on our mission to nurture the Mino ware brand in the Tono region of Gifu Prefecture, where the culture and industry of pottery has a long history dating back 1,300 years.
Mino is one of the world’s major pottery production centers, where artists, potters, trading companies, and related businesses gather.
Each of the “at Klin” and “EAST table” stores is located in Tokyo, Japan, and continues to introduce the appeal of Mino ware to people around the world.
Mino ware is also a rare industrial region, rare in the world, where artists, authors, potters, brands, machine mass production, and the trading companies and dealers who deal with them all exist in the pottery industry.
We will continue to rediscover and reinterpret the appeal of Mino ware in order to develop a new distribution network for all Mino ware.
In the Mino ware region, the entire process from raw materials (potter’s clay) to product shipment can be completed.
The history of Lake Tokai provides a rich source of materials, so much so that some of the most famous pottery production areas in Japan also use pottery clay from this region.
As a result of the growth of Mino ware’s traditions and accumulated industrial nature, a wide variety of pottery continues to be produced, both qualitatively and quantitatively, ranging from ceramic works by artists to everyday tableware such as cups and plates, tiles for building materials, and new ceramics.
